OUR STORY

In 2009 I was made redundant and decided that I wanted to get out of the rat race in London and move to the country and live a more sustainable lifestyle. To this end myself and my two sisters, Kim and Sheriden (Boo) purchased 7.5 acres of ex agricultural land in Charente. Since then we have, year by year, been getting ready for our build. We have had our septic tank installed, our driveway put in, the electricity and water brought to the edge of the property, our rubble trench foundation laid and now we are ready for the big push - the wall raising and the finishing of our straw bale dream. We have had quite a few ups and downs on our journey, mostly chronicled in my blog, learnt a lot along the way, met some extremely nice people and now we are in position for the last few items to fall into place. We hope you will join us on our journey and come away with your own knowledge and experience. Hopefully we will see you soon.
